What To Do Before Moving In

When you buy a new home, there is a lot to think about and do. You will need to move into the new place, bringing all your stuff, and you will need to start making the place feel like home. The list of things to do may seem almost endless, but there are some things that should take priority. Here are three things you should do to your new house before moving in.

Locks

While it may seem strange, changing the locks on your doors is one of the first things you should do after buying a new house. You have no way of knowing who the previous owners gave keys to, or if you are the only one with access to the place. If you are looking for something high grade, you may want to hire a residential locksmith DC to ensure it’s one of the best.

Systems

For those who like upgraded, electronic systems throughout the home, installing them before you move in is often very helpful. Home automation systems can make living in your home extremely convenient. It can allow you to control the electricity, thermostat, appliances, and some entertainment systems. They also enable you to check the security of your home, alerting you when there is movement around it.

Amenities

Once you have bought your new home, you should call your internet and cable company to see how soon they can set up the connections. If you do not have it done before you move in, you may be without television for the first few days you are there. Many depend on these things for work or entertainment purposes, and they often forget to have them put in before they move in.
Ensuring these things are completed before moving in can make your move easier and relieve some stress. Although they can be done after you get settled, it is simpler to have them done before.

A COLLABORATION BETWEEN AIMSMET GROUP & ICM, UK

AIMSMET GLOBAL under the AIMSMET GROUP collaborates with Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), United Kingdom launched the “Earn while you Learn” – Industry Sponsorship Program (ISP) towards Skills Apprenticeship Scheme for a Malaysia Skilled Future. The Program was endorsed by YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP). The Chairman of AIMSMET GROUP, Professor Dato’ Dr Jayles Yeoh, the CEO of Institute Commercial Management, Mr. Adair Ford and the CEO of AIMSMET Lifestyle Service, Ms Alice Hoang paid a courtesy visit to the Minister’s office and the endorsement was sealed by the signing of plaque by the Minister and the CEO of ICM, UK. The ultimate goal isto draw young Malaysians, regardless of their starting points, into jobs and sectors that are growing, and equip them with the right skills and experience under the right ICM program for careers in these areas.

In recent months, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad addressed that the government
will press priority on technical and vocational education and training (TVET) under the Shared
Prosperity Vision in efforts to increase the people’s employment through skilled competency.
Dr Mahathir mentioned that TVET played an important role in improving the skills of workers
and that training must be made a precedency. The Shared Prosperity Vision will encompass
the 12th and 13th Malaysia Plans, spanning 10 years from 2021 to 2031. Thus, the launching
of the ISP for Skills Apprenticeship Scheme with AIMSMET LIFESTYLE SERVICE as the pioneer
is a timely program that is poised to champion the government’s vision in reducing the
unemployment rate in Malaysia and enhancing the skilled competency among the youths for
a digital economy.

The Critical Skills Monitoring Committee (CSC) identified that two of the critical jobs-lacking
in its work force are the service and sales workers. Among the reasons are lack of fluency in
English, communications skill, customer service skill and the ability to multi-task. Hence the
retail sector, mainly the Food & Beverage areas, requires immediate solutions to engage and
train local Malaysian, especially school leavers, to fill these gaps.

Since the initial introduction of the Industry Sponsorship Program in September 2017 and the
recruiting partnership with ACT Hubs Sdn Bhd in 2018, AIMSMET have over 30 industries
ranging from Food & Beverage to Digital Economy to Client Services such as Starbucks Coffee
Company, McDonald’s (Gerbang Alaf Restaurants), Marrybrown, Only World Group (OWG),

Watsons and many more sponsoring more than 80 school leavers and graduates in the ICM
programs. Through this movement, the skills, passion and contributions of every individual
will drive each organization’s next phase of human capital development towards an advanced
mastery of skills and lifelong learning.

During the meeting, YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail, Minister of Domestic Trade
and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), said, “In order for Malaysia to become a developed nation,
the Malaysian human capital needs to be further developed with programs such as AIMSMET’s Industry Sponsorship Program. As the government, we are committed to reduce the disparities of income for those living in the rural areas. We have applied the spirit of shared prosperity in the 2020 Budget and have prioritized sectors such as TVET and skills training. While Malaysia has made great strides in human capital development since independence, we cannot afford to sit on our laurels as we still have much to do before achieving our goal of being a knowledge economy that is competitive on a global scale.”

In conjunction with the endorsement of the “Earn while you Learn” – Industry Sponsorship
Program, a panel discussion was held on the topic, “A Paradigm Shift in Education & Training
– Skilled Apprenticeship Model”. 0ver 200 university students, educationists and industry
players were present to gain knowledge and industry insights. Among the panelists were
Dato’ ’Sri Michael Kang, President of SME Malaysia, Datuk Dr Chef Wan, Celebrity Chef, Datin
Winnie Loo, Founder of ‘A Cut Above’, Dr Janson Ang, Founder of The Giving Bank
Organization and Mr. Adair Ford, CEO of Institute of Commercial Management, UK while Prof.
Dato ’Dr Jayles Yeoh, Chairman of AIMSMET Group was the moderator.
Speech by Prof. Dato ’Dr Jayles Yeoh, Chairman of AIMSMET Group

According to Prof. Dato ’Dr Jayles Yeoh, Chairman of AIMSMET Group, “The aim of this
Industry Sponsorship Program is to bridge the gap and speed up the pace in producing
knowledge workers through the private sector. AIMSMET is ambitiously looking to
revolutionize the academic thinking by introducing real life education to ensure no misfits to
the relevant industries. With continuous support from the government and private sector,
the ambition to make Malaysia as the global leader in providing High Quality Knowledge
Worker for various industries is realized. Ultimately we hope to see positive spin off for the
economy as we are able to provide skilled knowledge workers for Foreign Direct Investments
(FDI) into the country.”

Also present at the event was Miss Tiffany Lim, Founder of ACT Hubs, who works closely with
AIMSMET to connect with Industry Partners and to recruit school leavers for the program.
Both AIMSMET & ACT presented a cheque of RM20,000 to support Yayasan Food Bank
Malaysia at the event. Present to receive the cheque was Mr. Abdul Wahab Long, CEO of Food
Bank Malaysia.

AirAsia Flights, Why Them?

travel with my kids and have a good time together
Good day, readers of mine! How are you doing? How is your day? How is work? How is school?
How is everything in your life? Hope everyone is doing well and if you’re having a crappy day at work or
school, just know that at the end of the day, when you get home, you leave all of it back in its rightful
place;  the office and the school. Life is so much more than that, so don’t beat yourself up over it.

Okay, life philosophy is done for the day, let’s talk travel. Who likes travelling? I know I do, otherwise,
I would not be interested in writing this entry. Although, in today’s entry I’m not going to write about all
those cool places out there, I’m here to talk about the bird we’re using to get there. A little backstory on
AirAsia. It was founded back in 1993 and commenced its operations on 1996. The big man running this
industry is Tony Fernandes, which is very well-known, right? Especially after his book released just
recently. So, fast forward to present day, AirAsia have various awards around its belt including World’s
Best Low Cost  Airline by Skytrax. In short, if Skytrax acknowledge you, then you’re the boss.

Its business has been growing steadily and now practically available in every OTAs you can find including
Traveloka. One thing I can say about this particular OTA is they offered a lot of promotions, not just on
flights, man but hotel as well! I’m surprise myself! Okay, back to the topic. So, being available in every
OTAs out there is not the only reason why if you are looking to buy flight ticket, you turn to AirAsia,
there are other reasons as well which we will cover below.
So, let’s see why people try to find AirAsia flights, shall we?

Cheap is the New Magic Word

The people in Skytrax didn’t give AirAsia the title for World’s Best Low-Cost Airline just for kicks.
AirAsia really does provide the best price in the house. When I said the best price, I mean cheap prices.
You can get flight ticket as low as you can imagine when it is the promotional season. AirAsia has this
motto “Now Everyone Can Fly” that fits the nature of their aviation industry perfectly.

Southeast Asia Globetrotter

There are more than 400 routes prepared with the majority of it centralizes across Southeast Asia.
They have routes to Europe but they are very scarce compared to those around Southeast Asia.
I think this is why AirAsia is widely popular because considering there are so many routes in Southeast
Asia you can choose from, it’s practically there if you need it. It’s all the convenience you need to travel
with ease because you know for a fact there will be a route for you.

Good Service Comes Easy

I gotta be honest, services are on the top list of what really influence the progress of our travel experience.
Do you agree? If one experience crappy service with the airline at the early on, then, you can presume the
kickstart to your travel agenda is pretty much screwed. Everyone deserves a good service, right? It’s no
denying that every airline out there is throwing their guts in order to provide excellent service.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but regardless, the strive for perfection is nonstop. AirAsia is
no exception. They have been through quite a tough break before finally getting to that stage of having
really good services to provide for their flyers. Kudos to them.

To me, one of the plus one in the service department is the pre-arranged seating where you get to choose
your own seating arrangements to your liking. I don’t know about you but finding the best seat is like
HAVEN! Other services they have is like the in-flight comfort kit, low fare finder, self-check-in where you
can do it through the web, kiosk or mobile.

Congrats if you made it until the end of the entry! I’m sure there is more that can be added but I’m
sticking with three reasons for it. If you have anything you want to share, you can freely do so in the
comment. Let’s have a discussion on this, it’ll be fun! Anyways, gotta go!
You guys have a great day ahead and enjoy your long holiday!

Not just that there's woman in the military how are they going to handle her? She is Apple Chan playing the role of Lieutenant Zhang Xin Yi in Ah Boys to Men 4.

November blues

Beautiful sunset at Amverton Cove Gold Island Resort
It's November and it's Thursday, evening and raining here. Just sharing with you last month we went for a short vacation at Amverton Cove Golf Island Resort. Feel free to read the post, as you can find not just kids activities there. There's other activities for adults and also for golfers, do visit their Facebook to find out.

Today supposed to be a media trip that I can follow to go for Lost World of Tambun but not able to make it as it's an important day today to meet with teachers on son's education. Not just today the last media invitation also been rejected as it clashed with children's report card day. Last media invitation was to Legoland Malaysia.

The 28 October Friday, was an unlucky day for me, I have got a car accident. The 4 wheels truck hit the Toyota Vios and Toyota Vios hits my car. I was on the way to fetch my youngest son from kindergarten. I didn't make it to fetch him, I called sister-in-law about this and lucky that niece was at home she can help to fetch my son. My parents in law were here too, it's also the day they went back to hometown together with niece. At the moments, my car is not repair yet, the police report is RM34 and it showed that the driver's fault is the 4 wheels truck.

Next year gonna be a busy year for me and the kids as son will be Standard Six and youngest son is Standard One in Primary School. Besides busy he is busy tuition at school, he is also tuition outside. Got to balance the life of education having entertainment and also exercise for healthy living. No doubt I got to spend time for myself too, got to see how and make arrangement for it, perhaps pampering time, etc. I didn't have a transporter for my children as it is calculate by per person the payment for a way, both ways will be different payment and not yet include the outside tuition location to send. Now you know why there's a lot of calculation to do.

Few years back I followed the media trip as my dear's working nearer to home and able to fetch sons. But he's further away now and unable to help me to fetch them if I go, there's rider available now which I can pay if there's places I need to go. But then I need to consider about the children first like there's tuition or not and the time is suitable or not. There's lot to consider as a mom, not just parenting but also lifestyle of children.

By the way, anyone has got a good car workshop in Subang Jaya to recommend?

Three Easy Ways to Improve Your Beautiful Smile

You know how important it is to have a nice smile. Whether you're going to a job interview, a first date, or any other social occasion, people will, unfortunately, judge you based on your appearance. Your smile is the focus of your face, so it's not surprising that people will judge you because of it. Fortunately, it's easy to improve your smile with a few simple tricks, habits, and procedures. You don't have to have perfectly straight, white teeth to have an amazing smile that lights up a room, either. Here are a few tips to help you get the smile that you want today.

Whiten Your Teeth

If your teeth are yellowed, stained, or otherwise discolored, the easiest step you can take is to whiten them. There are many options for whitening your teeth at home, including strips and polishes that work quickly and kinds of toothpaste that work more slowly over time. If you want great results even faster, look into professional whitening from a well-respected dentist. For example, if you need teeth whitening Charlotte NC, contact a reputable group like Charlotte Dental Partners. You can get startling results after just one visit for whitening treatments when it's done professionally.

Consider Straightening Your Teeth

If you have a dramatic over or underbite, very crooked teeth, or other major problems, consider getting braces. You no longer have to settle for painful metal braces, either. Now, your dentist can offer a wide selection of braces options, including invisible braces. These are usually plastic trays that you wear in your mouth every day, slowly moving your teeth over the course of a year or so. Invisible braces are usually about the same price as metal ones but may be a better option for adults.

Keep Caring for Your Teeth

No matter what, the basics of dental care still apply, and they can make a dramatic difference in the quality of your smile. Avoid staining your teeth with cigarettes or excessive coffee consumption. Brush at least twice daily and floss to avoid getting future cavities that can ruin your mouth. It's never too late to start taking good care of your teeth and working towards the smile that you want and deserve. Good dental habits can really make all the difference.

Don't wait to start taking care of your teeth. You smile deserves it!

16 September 2017

I forgot to take the bag which I have packed the clothing inside to the car. I took the shoes bag and the food bag but not the clothes in bag that I plan that we changed before head to next shopping mall. Well since I left it at home and the event in morning ended early so I suggest to go home first. Sis-in-law and nephew are at home, we also bought food for them.

The morning start with 9yrs old to 12 yrs old fun run and three Challenge for each category.

Anyway my children love all the challenges especially little one, he went twice for the Challenge 1. He loves it and he's so happy just watch the 1st video above. It's a nice park to walked, some people bring their pet dog at the parked for a walk. The participants of the Cold Storage are all wearing the shirts, the children will have tags on their hand. The tag will be cut and remove for redemption of medal and goodie bag. The goodie bag with mineral water and voucher to redeem rest of goodie, need to go one by one of the booth to queue up for redemption. Some fun games available and others. The park has a lake that we can see turtles inside. So fun that we plan to go again next year! Good family time together and it's priceless bonding moments with loved ones.

It's a long day indeed for us. After the event at about 1015am we left and dear went to buy food while we waited in the car in Damansara. Then we headed home, shower then eat and then we are out again for Jalan Jalan Japan at 1 Shamelin Mall. The 1 Shamelin Mall is not near us, thanks to dear that drive and we followed the waze to reach there. The parking at 1 Shamelin Mall is RM2 per entry. Being mommy of two boys, besides fetching my children from school. I also need to know to how to shop and save at the same time. Glad to know nearby son's school there's a Guardian outlet.  Guardian, the largest pharmacy, health and beauty retail chain in Malaysia, is offering consumers quality they can trust at prices they will love, through the uplift of its in-house Guardian Corporate Brand products.

Guardian Malaysia has more than 420 stores, serving over 3 million customers per month.

Guardian has close to 500 SKUs of its ‘house brand’ or corporate brand products which are available exclusively at Guardian stores nationwide. These Guardian brand products cover every aspect of life from birth, infanthood, kids, teens, young adults, adults, families and into the golden years.

Guardian Corporate Brand products are a favorite with consumers regionally and in Malaysia, contributing significantly to total sales due to their quality, high safety standards as well as the ease-of-mind and value that they provide to consumers.

“All suppliers must first pass a professional third party factory audit before being approved to produce Guardian products. The products are then manufactured under strict quality control. Mandatory quality and safety checks are conducted before the products are marketed. Finally, all suppliers are monitored through ongoing third party factory audits. Surveillance checks will be conducted on products in the stores to ensure consistence and safety,” Ms. Lin explained.

Dr. Sharon Gopalan, Resident Skin Physician at the Life Care Diagnostic Medical Centre, shared the peace-of-mind that comes with dermatologically tested and proven products for the general population.

“When a product is ‘dermatologically tested and proven’ it means that patch tests have been conducted on human skin without causing irritation or adverse reactions. A well-tolerated product is a safer choice, especially when trying out new products,” said Dr. Sharon.

“Users should be aware of their skin type and condition before using products. Skin type and conditions can change with age, hormones, diet and many other factors. What may have suited the user once, may not be suitable at a different stage of life,” she added.

ezbuy Malaysia vs Taobao

Being mommy of two boys, I love fashion, I seldom have time to go shopping. Therefore with Internet access I can shop online from home easily. I can also access my smart phone to visit the website. I found the ezbuy Malaysia to shop online. Many other website online shopping also available like Taobao.

I visited the ezbuy Malaysia and I have register an account there. I prefer to shop online at ezbuy as my Chinese is not good, Taobao website will be tough for shopper who doesn't understand Chinese. ezbuy for me I feel I have better understand there to shop online.
You can also access from your smart phone to their website to register.

Register and Get FREE RM15 Voucher, first key in your email address, then enter password, follow by enter user id, not to forget your contact number. Then click on SEND OTP for the code to type in.

I like this as it is hassle free signup for everyone, I can even tell my friends they can just visit the website to sign up there's no charges apply.

ezbuy Malaysia has local customer service but Taobao doen't provide any local customer service.
I have friends with experienced on Taobao that their products purchase online saying their shipping charges are expensive and takes a long time to arrive.

I love shopping and spotted this cute UFO umbrella, suitable for my son to use as if there's rain, he can use it. It's light and easy to carry. Just visit the website ezbuy and you can find variety of choice and items to shop.
I also spotted this army style bag, it's 40L backpack which I might want to let my dear know of this. It would be a great gift ideas for loved ones.

Good thing about online shopping with ezbuy Malaysia, they provide variety of shipping methods. As for Taobao unable to ship sensitive products.

Shopping within budget is available now, I am going to check out the shop under RM30 on fashion apparels, shoes and bags, beauty accessories, and mobile accessories soon.

You know that I love bags, and I saw variety of bags to choose from at the website. By the way, ezbuy Malaysia have the Lowest Shipping Rate @RM4.50/500g and No Agent Fee. Unlike Taobao, shipping charges maybe more and also agent fee may applied.

ezbuy Malaysia provides Prime Service  http://bit.ly.jo-annemason.com/2dGydUd

Sushi King celebrates 21 years by giving back to Malaysians

It' was a beautiful Wednesday morning that I have take time off to attend the event of Sushi King celebrates 21 years by giving back to Malaysians. Sushi King, Malaysia's largest Japanese chain restaurant celebrated its 21 years in Malaysia by giving back to Malaysians in a uniquely Malaysian event. The event was held at Skating Rink, Sunway Pyramid. Thank you Sushi King for inviting me.

On the day, the Japanese-Malaysian ties were further highlighted with a unique Fusion Cultural Drums performance by Malaysian Drum Symphony featuring kompang and Japanese taiko drums. Check out the youtube above.
Speech by by Tan Sri Dato' Seri Fumihiko Konishi, Founder and Executive Chairman of Texchem Resources Berhad, which owns Sushi King
"The success of Sushi King over 21 years has been enabled by the special mixing of Japanese and Malaysian culture. Sushi King's ability to adapt Japanese food to Malaysian tastes has allowed us to be widely accepted, reaching 105 outlets with a presence in almost every state in Malaysia. We are proud and honoured to be recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest sushi chain restaurant in Malaysia, we have been able to hold on to this record since 2000. Thus, we want to share our happiness and blessings by giving to the less fortunate and also celebrating our love for Japanese food. Making the 70-foot long maki roll with so many hands involved was a meaningful gesture for us, and was doubly meaningful as we could then share food with all the people around us," said Tan Sri Konishi.

Halal Certification
He added that the Sushi King chain is on track to achieve Halal certification, following application in March earlier this year. Currently, approximately 90% of the outlets have been certified Halal and some new outlets are in process of certification."At Sushi King, we have always used only ingredients from Halal-certified suppliers as our brand focuses on providing fresh, good, healthy, safe and high quality food and services to Malaysians. With this Halal certification, our loyal and supportive Muslim customers can continue to enjoy our food without any worry or hesitation. Now, we are not just the largest sushi chain restaurant in Malaysia. We can also be the largest Halal sushi chain restaurant in Malaysia, or even in the world," he said.

The celebration with Sushi King making a special contribution of RM21,000 to children's home Pertubuhan Rohoma Darul Fakir Malaysia to help support the 55 orphans residing in the home. The donation was handed over by Tan Sri Dato' Seri Fumihiko Konishi, Founder and Executive Chairman of Texchem Resources Berhad, which owns Sushi King, to Dato' Faridah Omar Shah, the founder and Chairman of Pertubuhan Rohama Darul Fakir Malaysia.

The celebration also featured the creation of a 70-foot maki roll by a team of Sushi King chefs, led by Head Chef Takeshi Torita. Joining in the rolling process was Tan Sri Konishi, Akihiko Hijioka, President & COO of Texchem Restaurant System, 30 personnel from Texchem Restaurant System, local personalities Izzue Islam, Kamal Adli, Sazzy Falak, Cha Cha Maembong, Elizabeth Tan and Ammar Titan, Dato' Faridah and a team of give personnel and 20 children from the home, and representatives from the Islamic Development Department (JAKIM).

Sushi King Express offers single price dining option, to expand into their smaller towns.

Sushi King also grew the brand family this year, with the introduction of the Sushi King Express concept. Sushi King Express had a 'simple one price concept' dining concept offering quick and easy Japanese cuisine at affordable prices, without any service charge. The streamlined operations focus on the conveyor belt, allowing Sushi King Express to focus its efforts on delivering quality Japanese food at 3 distinct prices - RM3 for all sushi items and drinks from the fun beverage line-up, RM8 for a la carte items and RM13 for bento meals. Following the opening of the first outlet in Prima Sri Gombak in July and USJ Taipan in September, Texchem Restaurant System targets to open six more outlets including business conversion by the end of 2016 - to enable more Malaysian residents to enjoy affordable and great tasting Japanese cuisine.

If you like to dine at Sushi King restaurants, good news to you as Sushi King is focusing its expansion in smaller towns, with new branches in Bentong and Temerloh, and another upcoming branch in Raub to be opened by the end of 2016. The standalone outlets in shop lots offer the same dining experience as mall based-outlets in the cities.
